Stan Men At Work

My friend Cindy Murphy from the Tuxedo Party submitted the following story and photos about some remarkable Stan Men who helped out my favourite charity – Spay Day HRM:

We’ve had Stan men, Stan kittens, Stan women, etc. Today we had a Stan company.

Kim had found a couple of large well built dog houses (from a shop class) and she talked them into donating them for cat shelters. My job was to arrange transport to Linda’s [Mrs. Spay Day] … This was no easy task as they are LARGE AND HEAVY. Linda said she had places for both of them (some cats were living under an abandoned house that was to be torn down, and of course the usual …) These shelters could be used, after some adjustments.  I called several companies … No luck.

Sandy stepped up and offered his guys from Earthcraft and their truck … It has a hydraulic tailgate. He arranged everything. With the help of 2 men from the School, his guys wrestled it out to the truck and hoisted it up. I met them to take them to Linda’s to unload … These guys certainly rose to the occasion.

On behalf of all homeless cats everywhere, I would like to bestow on Sandy, Jeff and Tim the official title of Stan Man. Earthcraft, you are officially the first Stan Company!

Love,

Tuxedo Stan

  1. And a big thank you to the Shop Instructor and Carpentry students at Sackville High School for their work and donation to such a worthy cause… They’re ‘Stan People’ too!
