Tuxedo Stan’s World Tour – Road Trip

My friend Jodi DeLong took Minion Tuxedo Doctor along on a recent road trip. They traveled from Nova Scotia to Quebec to attend the 65th Annual Meeting of the Garden Writer’s Association.

Here we are in Pointe de Chene NB:

We didn’t go to the beach or the wharf because they charge and their fees will buy Tuxedo Doc a lot of nip. My bee did fill up on rugosa roses, tho!

Bonne fete du Acadie!!

Farmer's Market

We are in Bouctouche at the Farmers Market, about to go to La Dune for a little break. Then on to Miramichi and westward.

Tuxedo Doctor pauses beside Campbellton wharf…

He’s sporting his Acadien bracelet which acts as a collar or headband for him!

Stopped for coffee, a walkabout, pollen fillup for bee and to greet the mighty St. Lawrence. — at La Pocatiere.

Whoops!! Overcome by the beauty, my faithful Minion takes a header off the owl/fish/seal/alien sculpture by the falls
— at Ville De Montmagny.

We arrived at my hotel after an afternoon at the early part of the convention. Tuxedo Doctor isn’t as tired as I am and wants to get in the bag from PlantsNouveau.

Church

Yes that’s a honking huge church across the road. You can’t see the golden Jesus and golden sheep at the top though.

Wearing a shiny new pedometer from the good people at Rescue!, my intrepid Minion plans to order room service catnip and hit the hay.

Fresh from a good night sleep and too much ‘nip, Tuxedo Doctor poses in the tail of a sculpture to display his obvious superiority to the canine species.

Because Minions aren’t eligible to be members of GWA, Tuxedo Doctor didn’t get a name badge. So he borrowed mine to keep me amused during a dull presentation.

He was going to hork up a hair ball during the Mirakill-gross blather at breaky, but I made him behave.

Guess who slept in? Now enjoying brunch with smoked salmon eggs Benedict before we go off to the next events.

Eastward, ho! Out of Quebec without traffic or poor Siri having to recalculate even once. Au revoirs et je me souviens.

I’m so glad we stopped in St. Louis du Ha!Ha! Found this charming little Jardin des Perseids where Minion and Bee had to climb the mobile of stars.

Break time. We went across the Hartland covered bridge and now Minion Doctor has the munchies. We may detour to the chip factory or else face a mutiny.

Off to find supper and maybe wine. Note Minion Doctor in the wine cooler. At Treadwell Inn, which is lovely.
— at St. Andrews by-the-Sea New Brunswick Canada.

A welcome stop at Ceci Snow –  lovely home for a visit plus kitty and goggy therapy. Minion finally up from his overindulgence in ‘nip and snuggled up to Halo.

Happiness is purring kittehs. Even Minion is getting some love!

  1. Hi Stan, thanks for sharing our trip with your fan base. We had a great time even if Tuxedo Minion Doctor got into too much ‘nip a few times. But as you could see from the last photo, there is no place like home. My furry brood sends their best regards, too. xxx jodi
