Tuxedo Stan’s World Tour – Minnie Goes Fishing

My friend Allison Nunn took Minion Minnie on a fishing trip in northern Manitoba recently. Here she describes the journey:

Minnie went on a long trip this summer, back up to Canada to go fishing! Here is Minnie getting ready to leave:

Taking a Delta flight from Bradley Airport (Windsor Locks, CT) to Minneapolis MN Talked to some children and their parents about the necessity of spay/neuter programs (especially for ferals). They seemed interested! Landed safe and sound on our first leg.

Now to find our flight to Winnipeg MB! This second plane is smaller than the first…

All aboard!!!!!

Minnie is getting excited. Next stop, Winnipeg, MB, CANADA!!

Safely arrived! They don’t let you take photographs in Customs…..

But here is one by Canada’s flag and Manitoba’s flag.

Off to a hotel to spend the night. Minnie enjoyed getting to meet people in the hotel and pass on the word about spaying & neutering pets.

The next day Minnie completed the trip up to the fishing camp.  This next plane is even smaller… Minnie is brave though, and more than willing to get on up to the camp!

She stopped off at a reserve on the way. There is little or no vet care on the reserves, and animals are not spayed or neutered. This is a very serious problem!

Next leg of the trip, starts, we’re almost there!!

This plane is really small…. Minnie is worried what will be next! And we have to take off from the water!? Don’t you know cats don’t like water!?

WOW! Minnie gets to sit right behind the pilot and watch the controls when he takes off!

This is exciting! All set for take off!

***** “Do NOT drop the cat in the water!!!” *******

And we’re up safely! What a great view. I can watch for moose & bear from here…..

Coming into Fairy Rock Lake and getting ready to land…. On the water!

Minnie’s home for the week…

Minnie didn’t get to go fishing the first day, it looked like it might rain and she forgot her rain gear….

But she did get to examine some of the day’s catch…. Yummy dinner for cats.

All ready for bed, and another great day tomorrow!

Some rain gear was finally found for Minnie, so she got to go fishing!! Just don’t fall in!

This one was released back to grow and get caught again.

All ready for a wonderful fish lunch!

Cats **LOVE** fish!

Too soon the week was over, and Minnie had to say good-bye to the camp guide. Randy had taken good care of her and her people!

Here is the plane all ready to take us out.

During her trip Minnie met a lot of nice people, and worked hard trying to encourage help for her sisters & brothers in need. Because “Neglect Doesn’t Work”!

Thank you Allison Nunn and Minion Minnie for taking us along on your fishing trip. I’m hungry now – gotta go eat!
